Plant Unit

We are looking for someone who wants to work primarily with our grass and meadow areas on the campus, including Alnarpsparken.

About the Job

General outdoor maintenance with a focus on the care of grass and meadow areas. We have modern machinery where the work environment is an important part of our operations.

Together with other colleagues, you will be responsible for the maintenance of our unique plant varieties, hard surfaces, public flower beds, as well as grass and meadow areas.

Your Background

Education and experience from the green sector. Applicants should be in good physical condition and able to work outdoors in all weather. Experience with machinery relevant to the tasks is an advantage. A driving license (B) is required. Experience in similar work is also an advantage.

About Us

The Plant Unit is a service organization at the LTV faculty that manages, maintains, and develops the faculty's cultivation resources and green areas on Campus Alnarp. These include Alnarpsparken, the landscape laboratory, the garden laboratory, research greenhouses, and the Biotron.

We have up to 20 employees, depending on the season, most of whom are part of the Alnarpsparken unit to which this position belongs. The unit has newly renovated staff facilities and premises in the park.

Environmental work is high on our agenda, and SLU has been environmentally certified according to ISO14001 for more than 10 years. Large parts of the campus are protected as cultural heritage and have significant natural values, which we take care of in our daily work.
